In it he discusses the beginnings of the downfall of parody at Harvard, and how the backlash against parody and satire reverberates today with the unlawful conduct of Colorado College against two men who [...]

I know I published a positive article on the Living Learning Program for the summer issue of our school newspaper, but now I feel that it was a big mistake. I just found the pamphlet that we got at one of RHA meetings outlining the diversity plan for Res-Life for next year, and if [...]

Feminist sites like Jessica Valenti’s feministing.com and Amanda Marcotte’s Pandagon blog are hailing the pregnant transman as a hero for transgender rights. This person who was born a woman, and then legally changed his gender to a male one, kept his female reproductive organs and recently got pregnant. They hail this as proof that anyone [...]

Last week was the Mr. NDSU contest. It’s usually pretty good, a fake pageant where the contestants raise several thousand dollars for diabetes research. This year however the event was marred, by the Saddle and Sirloin club entry. Their lip-synching skit was a parody of the YouTube video “I have a crush on Barack Obama.” [...]

Now that Hillary has officially woken up and realized that February 5th didn’t seal the nomination for her like she thought it would, Hillary is going to the only other play she knows will work, since Bush used it twice to get his presidency. She’s started throwing mud at Obama. Recently, she gave a photo [...]

So, two weeks ago, Bush tried to scare everyone into giving him the telecom immunity bill he wanted, but amazingly, the Democrats found their spine and stood up to him, refusing to pass a FISA bill that let ATT and Verizon off the hook for their illegal wiretapping of Americans since 9-11. It seems like [...]
