Newshounds has a good article on a recent FOX/FAUX news story about Obama and his religion. A new book out called The Faith of Barack Obama written by Stephen Mansfield investigates the history of Barack Obama’s religious beliefs. Stepehen is an ultra-conservative Christian and his findinds were? That Obama is a very devout Christian.
FOX’s take differs, however. Their take is that since he was exposed to *gasp* atheist and Muslism practices as a child he is forever corrupted and can never be as goodly Chrisitan as white Christian Guys. That even though he is Christian he is too sympathetic to Muslim views and may not despise them as the ‘evil, Islamofascist terrorists that they are.’
I just find it so hilarious that you have to be a white Christian to get elected in this country, that being a Muslim or Jewish, or Hindu somehow destroys your ability to lead this country. Why is that? It just doesn’t make any sense to me. Does anyone out there have an answer for this stupidity?

HA!! There is no answer cause it is what you said STUPID!!!!!!!!! The truth is Americia never really like accepting “other” people, but forget ……everyone in Americia is “other people” in some way shape or form. Not many can say their family are Native American so everyone else has had family someplace else.
Different places have different values and beliefs. So what we value and believe today may not be what our families once thought……..Thank GOD!!!
We have come along way but we are slow…….and it will take time…..one day I hope we will lean to be more accepting of others and less judgemental.

Yes, its called the “good ole boys club”. Im not saying all men are like this but, look at who has been in charge. I mean, golf courses didnt allow women or minorities. So, who played golf? Rich white men. Those people usually were “high society”, people in power. God forbid someone of color, women, or poor people have a say. It seems to still be the case. I agree with the top poster in that we are very slow to change but, its not stupidity, its the people in power. Change them, you change the country.
