Feminist Misinformation

Recently, Jessica Valenti of feministing.com wrote about the internet and men’s comments towards feminism on the internet and YouTube here.  She complained about the stupidity and vulgarity of men and how they make her point for her, by showing just how stupid men’s rights and gender equity feminists truly are.

This is yet again another great example of how feminists these days use lies, misinformation, double standards, and hypocracy to make their claim that women are victims.

First off, she complains about how vulgar these men are.  And they might be.  But who complains about vulgarity during and episode of something called “Friday Feminist Fuck You’s” whose entire point is to make an angry tirade about something pisses her off.

She complains about Red Herrings during her video, but her entire tirade is a cleverly hidden one.  She equates all men in the men’s movement to those who write poorly written, and stupid comments on YouTube and in the forums.  The thing is, these people only represent a small fraction of the internet population, and completely ignores the hundreds and thousands of well-written blogs managed by men and women who understand the duplicity of the feminist movement and those that comment at them.

And of course she can claim that all the people who post at her site are vulgar, stupid men who don’t make any points and just hurl insults.  She even claims she had to shut down the comments on her site to stop them, and will have to spend the weekend deleting the offensive posts.  The thing is, the posts she leave up by men are the vulgar ones, and I am betting the ones she deletes are actually the well-written ones that make valid and thoughtful arguments.  So of course, all the men who post on the internet are vulgar stupid and sexist.

Oh and by the way, Jessica my name is Nathan Hansen I refuse to hide in the shadows.  I believe in equality for all, and will argue and debate any feminist at any time.  Now is the time for a men’s movement and men’s rights, or we will wake up one day with none.

  1. Good on you. I’m believe in equality and boil at the hypocracy when feminists vehmently decry the accusation that feminism is no longer about equality , but then turn round and accuse discussion of mens rights as being a patriacal supremacy movement. Good for you on the ‘debate any feminist at any time’. I doubt you will be taken up on the offer though !.

  2. I am just curious as to what rights you feel that men are losing because of feminism. I take no issue with your stance on feministing as I have issues with that blog that are different than yours.

  3. I feel that men are becoming the new lower class in America. Men are looked down upon in most spheres of society, just watch a family show with a father and mother and tell me which one is an idiot? Boys are considered stupid in school and routinely put on Ritalin or other mind medications because schools no longer are responsive to their needs.

The most egregious violation of our rights are our parental rights. We have no parental rights, just parental responsibilities. The child is not the males when it comes to most major decisions unless money is involved, then the man is just supposed to pay up and shut up.

Another right we don’t have is to our own body. Women fought successfully in order to get Roe v. Wade, yet men have not won the fight in order to be free of the draft and selective service. If a major war breaks out, I won’t have the right to say its my body and I choose not to fight.

I cannot say that I agree with you. The world is still largely run by rich white males. While television does indeed portray men
as dumb this belies the fact the media is male controlled.
Unlike women you control your own image, so if you don’t
    like it change it.

“Boys are considered stupid in school and routinely put on Ritalin or other mind medications because schools no longer are responsive to their needs.”

On this you have my complete agreement. I don’t however
feel that this is the fault of feminism. I think it has everything
to do with the system of exchange we live in. Children are
not valued and so while we speak about education, we do
not invest real dollars into it. The class sizes are so large
that teachers do not want to deal with a naturally excited
child they would rather drug him and that is wrong. You
are very right to point out the ADD/ADHD thing as a male
phenomenon. They are being “diagnosed” in much higher
    numbers than girls.

“The most egregious violation of our rights are our parental rights. We have no parental rights, just parental responsibilities. The child is not the males when it comes to most major decisions unless money is involved, then the man is just supposed to pay up and shut up.”

It was my understanding that the pendulum had swung, and
that more men were being given a chance to parent equally.
If that is not the case, I would agree that it is wrong. A child
benefits from having a father in his life. It is simply unfair
to deny equal access to both parents. A woman may have
a uterus and a womb, but that does not necessarily make
    her a good mother.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT point. I agree no one should be
forced to fight any war. It is simply wrong and that burden
should not fall solely to males.

While I agree with alot of what you have to say there are
still a few things that I found to be problematic. Thank you
for the exchange though. This is the first pleasant exchange
I have had with a mens rights activist online.

  5. I consider myself a male feminist, not a men’s right activist. I tend to identify with Warren Farrell, who is a feminist but has issues with today’s version of feminism. You should really read his book, the Myth of Male Power. It doesn’t say that feminism is wrong, but points out the problems that men face as a result.
