I just got my copy of the Myth of Male Power by Warren Farrell from Barnes and Noble today. It only took two weeks, and lots of waiting since Barnes and Noble has a women’s studies and issues section, but no Male studies or issue section so any book on the subject has to be special ordered. (More about that in an upoming post). I am almost halfway through already, and I have to say that I am extremely pleased with what I have read so far. I find the book to be well written, egalitarian, and points out the problems that face both men AND women in today’s society, a quality to gender issues writing that is very lacking in feminist literature.
Also, I have on order Why Men Earn More and Is Feminism Discriminatory a Debate, both of which are also written by the Esteemed Dr. Farrell and are good reads. Get them at Amazon.com since its cheaper than Barnes and Noble, and I bet your local B & N doesn’t have them in stock anyways.
