Why is it that when a man goes to a feminist site they all curse and swear at us the minute we start posting and sharing our views? If you go to Glenn Sack’s and post and are a feminist you get treated with respect. They may debate what you say and not like what you say there, but they don’t insult you, call you names or just harass you. Feminist sites like www.feministing.com, or http://pandagon.blogsome.com/ routinely edit your comments or delete them if they don’t toe the feminist line, even if you are being respectful and not using foul language.
Here is an example of my treatment at feministing:
“There is no need to put words in your mouth. Your own words make you an asshole.
Stop pretending false rape accusations are common. They are no more common than false accusations of theft.
Men who are not convicted of rape have not necessarily been falsely accused. Rape is extremely hard to prove, because even when DNA evidence is present, defense lawyers are usually able to put enough doubt into jurors’ minds that the sex was non-consentual. The conviction rate is embarassingly low NOT because men accused of rape are overwhelmingly innocent, but because rape is hard to prove.
Rape is terribly common; most women who are raped don’t even bring charges against their attackers. It’s not exactly a rewarding endeavor.
To suggest that a signifigant number women who haven’t been raped would put themselves through such an ordeal is not only assholish, it’s fucking ignorant.

“Oh honey, even if you don’t advocate corporal punishment, you are still a rape denialist. That’s a small detail, and you are calling attention to it to deflect from the fact that you otherwise fit the bill.
I’d love to see links to the “several studies” you mention.
What is your definition of “false accusation,” anyway? An accusation that does not lead to a conviction? Victims who are unsure who raped them are not malicious liars. Victims who don’t get a rape kit are not malicious liars. That some rapists escape conviction hardly makes THEM the victims. You fucking asshole.

I personally enjoyed the discussion at feministing and took some of the things the feminists were saying to heart. I am just sorry that they were too narrow-minded to listen to what I had to say and take it seriously.

It’s not your gender that’s getting you yelled at, it’s the fact that you’re coming off as being abrasive. I post there regularly, and have disagreeed with and spoken out against 2nd-wave Radical thoughts, but I am able to be civil about it …
Don’t play this “Oh, they hate me because I have a penis game.” It gets old real fast.

Could it be that you’re an asshole?

I will not censor this blog unless you write something absolutely obscene with no other purpose than to insult someone, so please while you can use whatever language you want make your criticism constructive.

I think some of your arguments might have been better received had they been phrased differently, but the fact is that people feel deeply about these subjects, and no matter what you say or how you say it, someone is always going to get pissed off. I agree with ProFeministMale that civil discourse is the best way to handle disagreement, but reading through the comment thread I’d say some of the people disagreeing with you were more abrasive and assholey in tone than you were–but again, these are explosive topics, so the occasional kaboom is to be expected.

”Don’t play this “Oh, they hate me because I have a penis game.” It gets old real fast.”
Feminists play it too. Except they say: ”Men discriminate against me because I have a vagina.” I’m not surprised this moronic comment comes from you.
”Could it be that you’re an asshole?”
Yes, of course; it’s NEVER a feminist’s fault.
SarahMC is somewhat correct, but what makes a man a rapist? Because he had sex with a woman, and then later regretted it, went to the cops crying and told her story? Feminists are masters of double standards.
She also seems to hold the belief that rape accusations is equal to about ”2%”, which is false. I have a great source on this: http://llr.lls.edu/volumes/v33-issue3/greer.pdf#search=%22greer%202%20percent%22
”defense lawyers are usually able to put enough doubt into jurors’ minds that the sex was non-consentual.”
Her source is where? Offesive lawyers are usually able to put enough doubt into the jurors’ minds that the sex was consensual. I wonder how this sounds to her…
